Iron Man 3 is now showing in the Philippines

Iron Man 3 is now showing in the Philippines.  This is the 3rd movie of Iron Man, with Robet Downey Jr. reprising his role.  It's a fact, without Robert Downey Jr., there is no Iron Man movie, and definitely no Avengers movie.  That is why he gets the big bucks.

I think this movie will be shown in Philippine theaters for more than a month.  Then, Man of Steel will take movie theaters by storm.

I don't know until when, Robet Downey Jr. will play the role as Stark.  I predict, if he gets tired of the role, no one can replace him just as easily.  He is a hard actor to replace. Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man.

Korean Channels on Cignal Satellite TV provider

There are only two Korean Channels in Cignal Satellite TV. There is the M Channel and Arirang World TV.

M Channel or Channel M has variety of shows like new Korean Dramas, Talk/Reality shows featuring famous Korean stars and mostly K pop music videos.

While Arirang World TV is comparable to NHK World TV. This channel has news and shows that promote Korean culture.  There are other channels that show Korean drama dubbed or subtitled, but this two channels are the ones straight from Korea, at least that's what I think.

M Channel mostly have English subtitles with Korean spoken language, while the Arirang World TV has English spoken content as well as Korean spoken language with subtitles.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone: Movie Review

I was able to watch the movie "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone", yes it's a comedy.  In a sentence, I can say it's a popcorn movie.  You don't have to think much to enjoy it, and it gives you a few laughs with an easy, predictable story.  As expected from Jim Carrey and Steve Carell movie, you learn something and laugh over their hi-jinks

I like the movie, but would I watch it again? The answer is a maybe, just to see Jim Carrey make an ass of himself.

How was the visual?

Visually the movie was good.  It's not a high computer visual movie, but you know there is some in it.  The camera work is good, so is the editing.

How was the story?

Story is the typical story of someone, forgetting their roots.  Where in someone has been on the top for so long, just to fall from grace, and have to learn to cope with their failure and rise up again.

It's the usual Hollywood story, even kids will know they have seen it a couple of times before.  So yeah, there isn't much twist and turns to this movie, but the writing is good.  Dialogue is natural, story is coherent and easy to follow.

How was the movie overall?

Overall, I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5 stars. The story is nothing new, it's almost not that fresh but still a good movie to enjoy.  I think, the target audience of this movie are the Jim Carrey fans, teens, and people in their early 20's.  Although, kids may enjoy this, but there are some scenes, that are not for kids.  So if you plan to watch this with kids, they will probably enjoy it, or they will ask you lots of questions during and after the movie.

OZ: the Great and Powerful - Movie Review

I was able to see this movie on it's second week in cinemas.  Oz: The Great and Powerful, is a movie for all ages.  I find it fun and interesting movie to watch.

All I can say, the target audience for this movie is probably kids.  I know kids will love this film and leave the cinema in awe.

How was the visuals?

Visuals were stunning.  I know the target medium for this film was 3D, but I watched it on ordinary film, it looks impressive on 2D, what more if you saw it in 3D?

How was the story?

Story was predictable, given it's trying to live up to the Wizard of Oz movie.  It pretty much is following on that formula.  And it being a prequel, you pretty much know the ending.

How was it Overall?

Overall, I give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars.  The reason is that, although the visuals are good, there is something lacking in the movie.  But Overall, this is one fun movie.  I laughed during the movie and appreciate it being light-heart at its best.

It's a good movie to watch and escape reality for about a couple of hours.  A recommended film for me, go watch it with the kids.  The kids will enjoy it, if they have an open mind and smart enough to understand some of the grown-up jokes.
